An Ode To Webcomics

Webcomics are God's answer to having five minutes to kill. No matter what your interests are, from homicidal bunnies to send ups of Dungeons and Dragons to geek humor there is someone out their with a poorly draw web comic that hits your sweet spot. Rather than turn in a full blog today I'm just going to try and turn you on to three of my favorite moments of funny.

Giant In The Playground: I've been following the misadventures of a group self-aware Dungeon & Dragon's characters for years now. It's a loving send-up of role playing games and epic fantasies, but it works even if you haven't ever rolled a 12-sided dice.

XKCD: Geek humor at its best, Randall Munroe pokes fun at life through a geeky lens. Some of his stuff is too technical for me to get, but most of its funny and embraces an off-beat sort of life, which, you know, I'm pretty much leading.

The Perry Bible Fellowship: One of the odder webcomics out there; PBF has the art of a children's book with the dark humor of sick and twisted individual, and I just love it.

For animated comics I turn to How it Should Have Ended. They take big tent pole moves and expose some rather large plot holes in a playful fashion. Like I haven't seen 2012 and after seeing How it Should Have Ended I don't need to.
